"I know and frequent this restaurant for over 15 years. Each time I am climbing the wonderful mountains of St. Moritz step into it for a small meal. Very good, a great place for families with a small playground and several specialties for everyone who arrives there."

Soft jazz drifts through discreet speakers, setting an elegant yet relaxed mood. Service • The front-of-house team strikes the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. Our server was knowledgeable about both classic Engadin specialties and Chadalfo’s signature dishes—and happy to recommend Swiss wines that complement every course. Water carafes were refreshed without being asked, and check-ins were timed just right. Food • Starters: The vaulted‐garlic soup spiked with black truffle shavings was a velvety triumph, while the beetroot carpaccio with horseradish crème fraîche balanced earthiness and tang. • Mains: A perfectly pink venison loin arrived with juniper-infused jus and a quenelle of chestnut purée, a true taste of the region. For lighter palates, the house-made tagliatelle with mountain-herb pesto proved both fragrant and comforting. • Desserts: Don’t miss the Engadin nut tart, served warm alongside a quenelle of vanilla-scented gelato—simple, rich, and utterly memorable. Value • Prices reflect high-quality ingredients and expert preparation—expect to spend around CHF 80–120 per person with wine. Given the setting, the service and the inventiveness of the menu, it’s well worth it. Overall Chadalfo is a must-visit for anyone exploring the Engadin Valley. It combines the hearty spirit of the Alps with unexpected culinary twists, all delivered in a setting that could double as a postcard. "I am not a huge fan of pizza, but I'm a huge fan of this one. My bolognese was also amazing, my husband loved his Beef Tagliata, bread was super fresh... nothing to complain about. Just one thing, though, it takes quite some time to eat here (I mean order + get food + pay), so reserve yourself maybe an hour."
